Howard Dean Johnson answers a number of key questions about race, racism, anti-racism, slavery, colonialism, post-colonialism, whiteness, white supremacy, blackness and black people. He also introduces his new book: The Racism Handbook for People Classified as Black: A Guide to How Racism Really Works VOL I. This publication is a Black Studies guide, presented through the lens of antiracism discourse.

It explores the function of white domination in the overarching narrative of racialisation. The handbook gives solutions of self-determination and recognising cultural differences, through the focus on an understanding of aspects of ancient black history, and modern black history, black epistemology, and African cultural practise as a process of creating a way forward.

Howard Dean Johnson is an English teacher, researcher, activist, author and Black Studies teacher. As a social justice advocate, he is deeply committed to teaching the centrality of race to the making of the modern world. Graduating from University of Surrey and University College London, Johnson went on to engage himself in the community of antiracism, personal development, education, and motivation of black and African people.
